Recast is a direct-to-customer social video platform with big plans to revolutionise the sports broadcasting landscape. Our first goal is to bring the sports and Esports that fans love directly to them, with no monthly subscription.

Recast makes it easier for fans to find the content they enjoy and provides personalised access to live streams and official highlights.

About You

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating rights holder leads on Recast’s next gen content monetisation platform.

The appropriate individual will be responsible for utilising existing and new relationships to build a target list and work with Recast’s Commercial Director to educate the market and close rights holder partners (Sports Teams, Leagues, and Athletes). The ideal candidate will possess the ability to approach sports organisations and open doors to key decision makers.

You’ll be an organised communicator, with acute people skills who thinks on your feet and adapts to any given situation. You must be comfortable working in a start-up environment and entrepreneurial minded in the sense that you’ll be tasked with building a book of business and supporting the Commercial Director of Recast to move conversations from lead to close. On top of that, you’re expected to be able to delegate across various sectors of the business that are needed to support the commercial success of our partners.

  • Business Development Executive (Sport)
  • Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom
  • Salary Range: £20K-25K / annual
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales/bd role within the sport industry – product/tech experience is a plus, but not required
  • Timeline: Immediately
  • Responsibilities Include
    • Develop client target list
      • Put a plan in place to generate leads in the UK market via defined “rights holder” buckets
        • Teams
        • Leagues
        • Governing Bodies
        • Athletes
        • Talent Agencies
      • Facilitate and get meetings booked with rights holders
        • Idea is to open doors at organisations, set meetings, and create an opportunity for the Commercial Director to close business


The ideal candidate will have at least two years business development and/or sales experience in the sport industry – if the candidate has complimentary experience in a product/tech led business that would be looked at as a plus, but not required.

  • Salary £20-25k dependent on experience
