About Recast

Recast is a direct-to-customer social video platform with big plans to revolutionise the sports broadcasting landscape. Our first goal is to bring the sports and Esports that fans love directly to them, with no monthly subscription. Not only that, they'll earn for watching and sharing content on Recast.

Recast will make it easier for fans to find the content they enjoy and will give personalised access to live streams, official highlights, and the best fan-generated content, whilst creating and sharing content with the community.

About You

You’re a Data Analyst with experience in specifying, managing and reporting on user journeys and behaviours across digital front end sources, with specific expertise in using Google Analytics and Tag Manager.

You will be able to understand business reporting requirements and be able to audit, implement and manage digital analytics tools ensuring the platform is fit for purpose and optimised to meet business requirements

You will be able to present well designed reporting to meet business and customer needs. As part of an early-stage startup you’ll need to be comfortable working quickly and enjoy taking ownership of your work.

What You’ll Do

  • You will be supporting the Product Director with in-depth analysis on digital behaviour and journeys.
  • You’ll be working extensively in our product team to analyse user behaviour, helping us to identify areas where users are not using the site to its full potential, and helping us to design and obtain results from A/B tests, so that we can optimise revenue and user experience.
  • You will build customer funnels to identify drop off points to aid in improving the desired conversion outcome across the website.
  • As we build out our marketing function, you will need to perform regular audits across site and campaigns to ensure alignment to tagging and tracking standards. You will advise on best practices for tracking marketing campaign success and feed into future campaigns.
  • You will Audit, troubleshoot and refine Google Analytics set up to make sure it is fit for purpose for business requirements, including setup and coding solutions with Google Tag Manager.
  • You will be supporting teams across the business, interpreting data requirements and delivering outputs.
  • You will design, build and execute an analytics reporting model to accommodate insights and informed marketing decisions.
  • Managing third party scripts through Google Tag Manager.
  • Keeping on the pulse with market, competitor, technological and customer changes.
  • As we continue to rapidly build the business, the volumes and types of data we are handling will change. You will ensure you learn new tools and rebuild reporting to ensure that you are able to continue producing the data we need.

Skills, Experience, Attributes

  • Experience defining tracking for, and building reporting on front end customer journeys, funnels and conversions.
  • Experience using Google Analytics.
  • Experience with digital A/B testing and personalisation.
  • Experience in drafting data tracking requirements for implementation by development teams.

More generally we are looking for for somebody with the following:

  • Understanding of alternative insights tools and the experience of suggesting and implementing alternative analytics approaches.
  • Ability to articulate the rationale and value of data for business decision making.
  • Both excellent attention to detail and an eye for the big picture.
  • Draft recommendations to achieve desired user behaviour.
  • Creation of high quality, regular reporting capabilities to drive business and product strategy decision making.
  • Work with the development team to define and specify tagging requirements to relevant development projects.
  • Occasionally apply your analytical mind to whatever activities the business requires.
  • Actively identify data-driven opportunities for improvement in the recast app.

Job Details

  • Full-time position in central Edinburgh.
  • Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm.
  • £26k-£34k DoE.
  • Company pension.
  • Unlimited holiday allowance.
  • £500 annual training budget.
